About Acapulco Cruise Terminal

Acapulco is a legendary port, having survived Spanish conquistadors, hurricanes, the carousing of Hollywood's A-list actors and countless Spring Break revelers. But it's still here, and it remains a beautiful place. The Cruise Lines offer over 60 different excursions of this vivacious port city. Your ship will dock at the Acapulco Cruise Ship Terminal pier at the north end of Acapulco Bay. The Cruise Ship Terminal is directly across from the Fort San Diego and a 5-minute walk to the Zocalo, Acapulco's historic downtown district.

A relatively new cruise terminal has been built in the downtown area across from the Zocalo (Town Square). Most of the “action” is located at Playa Condesa on the Zona Dorado (Golden Zone), east of the terminal. One of the plentiful VW Bug taxis can get you into the center of town for $2US. But taxi fares are not pre-set, so make sure you negotiate the price before you embark on your ride. There are excellent beaches within easy walking distance of the port in both directions.

Acapulco is located on a deep, semi-circular bay. With an important nautical heritage stretching back to the sixteenth century, Acapulco today is a port of call for shipping lines and cruise ships sailing between Panama and San Francisco. Acapulco, located in the State of Guerrero, has a population of about 625,000 inhabitants.
