About Seward Cruise Terminal
Seward is a small town/port on the Kenai Peninsula that is at the heart of the Kenai Peninsula's fabulous ocean and wildlife. One of the oldest towns in Alaska Seward's historic district is full of art galleries, local handicraft shops and other shops of keen interest to tourists. Its scenic location at the foot of Mt. Marathon whose snow capped peaks rise thousands of feet from Seward. It is very picturesque and quaint.
The Port of Seward is an embarkation and disembarkation port at the northern end of an Alaska cruise. The port is located 129 miles from the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). Driving time is 3.5 hours by car, or 2.5 hours via the Alaska Railroad. The dock area of Seward is located about 1/2 of a mile from the town itself further up the bay. There is not much around the pier but it is a nice walk into town from the pier. The Port of Seward does not have overnight parking.
