About Sydney Cruise Terminal
The cruise terminal is located at Circular Quay and adjacent to the Rocks, the original old city. Cruise ships dock directly in Circular Quay beneath the bridge, a perfect location both because of the views and the convenience of transportation options. Water taxis, ferries, trains, taxis and buses all depart regularly from the wharf location.
Sydney Harbour is Australia's premier cruise ship destination and the only port in Australia with two dedicated cruise-passenger terminals. The Overseas Passenger Terminal is located at Circular Quay and, and the Wharf 8 Passenger Terminal is located at Darling Harbour. Both are situated in the heart of the city and close to major tourist attractions.
Sydney is now host to approximately 120 cruise vessel visits each year, split between the year-round domestic sector and the seasonal international sector. On the domestic front, Sydney is the “home-port” to P&O Cruises Pacific Dawn, Princess Cruises Dawn Princess and the Sun Princess. Annually these three vessels make approximately 60 visits to Sydney. The international cruise season now extends from mid-October through to mid-April. Each year Sydney receives around 30 visits from vessels undertaking Round-The-World cruises, with Sydney often the mid-point. Regular visitors now include Cunards' Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, P&O Cruises Aurora, Oriana and Arcadia, as well as Silverseas Silver Whisper and Silver Shadow, Regent Seven Seas Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager.
